Amazing Tips to Help You Grow Your Business on Instagram

Instagram is a front-runner in terms of social media channels and is a great resource to use when you’re growing your business. Although most of the users of this platform are composed of millennials, older generations are starting to embrace the app more each day. While Facebook usually takes the spotlight when it comes to promoting a business on a social media network, Instagram is too big and powerful to be ignored. Motivate Your Followers and Fans No matter how many followers you have on Instagram, it’s important to give them the attention they deserve and get them motivated enough to spread the word about your business. Get everyone involved by engaging and asking for some suggestions about new products or services. This will not only strengthen the relationship that you have with your fans but will also give you valuable insights into potential new ideas to grow your company. Link with Influencers There are a lot of influencers on Instagram that can help you to grow your business by leaps and bounds. It’s always a good idea to look for an influencer within your field that can help to spread the word about your brand. This way, your content will be showing up on two different accounts, which will make your exposure much more significant, since these web celebrities usually have a considerable following. Don’t underestimate the power of influencers – especially on this social media platform. Share with Your Community Give back to the people that are constantly demonstrating brand loyalty. Offering giveaways and contests will likely motivate them to check your account more often, but make sure these giveaways are fun and exciting for your followers, emphasizing the idea of giving and not receiving. This is not the time to try to boost your sales but to raise brand awareness and to gain more respect from consumers. How to Create a Strong and Interactive Presence on Social Sites

No matter what type of business you are running, you need to start engaging with others on social media sites. It is here that you can create the messages that you want to send out to your potential and existing customers. It’s not just enough to create your own profile and then send out a few posts once in a while though. You need to engage with your audience through interactive and interesting stories and information that will make people stand up and take notice. Types of Content Your presence all boils down to how well you know your target market and understand their wants and needs. This involves taking a look at the most popular social sites for your niche along with your audience to determine what they are expecting in terms of media content. In some fields you’ll be able to connect better with your customers through text while others will become more engaged when they see videos and photos. Various Platforms You should be using multiple social platforms to reach out to people and the content on each site should be unique. When you start recycling your content your presence starts to become boring and you’ll find that your audience is looking elsewhere. You need to consider every social site as a brand new experience with different methods of communication. If you are using Snapchat or Instagram, for example, you’ll want to be posting pictures while if you’re on Twitter or Facebook you can offer text or visual media. Interaction You should always interact with your audience by replying to their comments or at least by hitting the “Like” button. If you simply make a post and then walk away from it forever, users will notice and will not bother making any further comments. The Competition One of the best ways to find out what your customers are relating to on the social media sites is to look at the competition. Study a few of your most successful competitors to find out what they are posting, when they are making their comments and how they are following up with their audiences. When you study a few of them you’ll see some similarities in the way they are handling their social networks. This is valuable information that can help you build an engaging presence on social media sites. Facebook Launches Messenger Day

Facebook Launches Messenger Day

On March 9, 2017 Facebook launched Messenger Day to help you find and connect with your friends. You can find it at the top of the chat app on Android and iOS or on your desktop in messaging threads. You now have the ability to share decorated videos and photos with friends in a new and engaging way. This new feature resembles Snapchat Stories and can be used for making plans. It’s expected that Messenger Day will become popular since many people are already using Messenger anyway, which may give Snapchat a run for its money. While Snapchat Stories gives users the chance to show what they’ve been doing, Messenger Day features an “Active Now” filter and a “Who’s up for?” filter that will get people planning and into action. In simple terms, Facebook may have put something useful together to rival “more fun than useful” Snapchat Stories. Try it out for yourself. Let others know that you are going out for supper and take a photo. See if any of your friends decide to engage in a conversation and make plans with you. Instead of just watching what you’ve already done that was fun, your friends can come and join you while you’re doing something. If you have specific friends that shouldn’t see these posts, they can be blocked with the “Everyone Except” function. As well, you can put together a list of friends that will have the ability to watch and keep track of your “Days” or you can directly send posts to specific friends on an individual basis. You can also see who has looked at your Day when you scroll down to the bottom of the posts. Categorized filters are fun and exciting with captions such as “Let’s grab drinks” and “Who’s up for grabbing coffee?”. You can even create your own filter if you can’t find the right one in the list. There are no ads currently being shown on Messenger Day but that doesn’t mean that they might not be there in the future. As well, only individuals can use this new feature for now. Businesses will most likely be able to use it once more experiments have been done showing more ways that businesses can open threads. There is probably an opportunity ahead for businesses, we just don’t have an idea yet what it will be. It’s anyone’s guess as to how this will directly affect Snapchat now or in the future. There are certainly many loyal Snapchat users but will this new Facebook function curtail any Snapchat growth? Will Messenger Day convince users that there is no special reason to register on another social networking site? These are definitely questions that will only be answered as time goes by. Instagram Launches New Feature to Remove Commenting Ability on Posts

Instagram Launches New Feature to Remove Commenting Ability on Posts Instagram has recently announced that there are new major changes on the horizon that will give users better control over their app experiences. Users will be able to decide whether they want to turn off the comments left on their posts or not. A user will not have to be concerned about any comments left and will have the option to turn them off. This change was noted on the Instagram blog on December 12, 2016 and it follows the introduction of September’s keyword filter. This filter could only be used by celebrities originally but was later introduced to all Instagram users, allowing them to create custom lists or filter out offensive language. As well, the no-comments feature was only available to power users at the beginning. In the weeks to come, all users will have access to it. The toggle to turn off comments can be found under the advanced settings. If you do decide to turn off comments, you’ll have the option of changing your mind and turning them back on later. There are other upcoming updates that should be noted including the option of removing followers discreetly from your account or liking particular comments. You’ll also be able to provide an anonymous report to Instagram if you see any user threatening to injure themselves. The company will connect the user to an organization that can provide help and teams will be reviewing the reports 24/7. Although they may seem like simple changes, they reflect just how dedicated Instagram is to improving the safety and the enjoyment of the site to its end users. A lot of the Instagram conversations start with comments so this is a big change for the site. It allows users to enjoy the social media platform without having to worry about negative comments. It can be said that Instagram is becoming more like Snapchat every day with these new updates. Of course, Instagram has its own set of loyal visitors and it seems as though these changes may make the platform even more inviting for new users. There’s no doubt that Instagram has become a leader in the online social media world and should be considered as a vital tool for any marketer that wants to reach out to its target market en masse. To find out more about Instagram and how it can help any business reach its intended target market please call Qode Social at 416-226-0563 or visit our website at...
