Toronto’s newest mini-putt bar is here, and this is NOT your 2001 Putting Edge experience. Picking between 9, 18 or 24 holes, you can select between a variety of different pop culture related holes at Par-Tee Putt Toronto. Between putting in front of the “CN Tower”, hacking away in front of the Iron Throne, or showing off your beer pong technique, there’s something for everyone. We really liked the Twister hole (super creepy) and found the balancing maze to be really challenging. The cons? Definitely a lack of seating, and you can’t order food and putt with it. We Volunteered With Project Water and This Happened…

Project Water, a not-for-profit initiative founded by Jody Steinhauer, has rapidly become a force in the city of Toronto, generously committing to distributing clean drinking water to the less fortunate every summer. The organization, which has been putting together the event since 1999, has since then distributed more than three million free water bottles to the Toronto homeless. After volunteering with Project Water, we quickly learned that water bottles truly could save many lives. Hundreds of homeless people in the Greater Toronto Area go without having access to safe drinking water, a fundamental need for the human body. This sad reality has led to many deaths, during the excruciatingly hot summer months or periods of heat waves. Overall, the experience was a wonderful and memorable one. We are so grateful to have been presented this opportunity to make a positive change and impact the lives of many in our own community. We were able to put together kits, pack water bottles and write positive notes for others. We were also thoroughly impressed with everyone from Engage and Change, the initiative’s founding organization, and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a local philanthropy experience. How To Use The New ‘Rainbow Text’ Feature On Instagram Stories

With over 400 million daily active users, Instagram stories are a fun feature that allow users to post photos and videos that can be viewed over the course of 24 hours. Similar to Snapchat stories, the content is short-lived and disappears, once the day has reached its end. Since launching Instagram Stories in 2016, the popular app has added many exciting features such as GIFS, shoppable tags, question stickers, filters and much more, creating major social media marketing opportunities. With the amazing amount of new features and updates that Instagram has released for Stories, it’s no shock that a new and exciting hack is now available, allowing users to write in colourful, rainbow text! Here’s how to use it: After launching the app, open the stories editor. Stories appear in a bar at the top of your feed’s page. Tap on the “+” icon at the top-left of your screen, or simply swipe to the left of your home page. From here record a video, snap a picture or upload a pre-existing post. Click on the “Aa” button in the top right corner. At this point you’ll be able to add text to your image. You can insert any caption and modify its font, colour, and size. Next, highlight the writing that was just inserted. To access the hues at the bottom of the screen, hold down your finger on one of the colours until the option to create a gradient pops up. With this gradient, you’ll be able to select more shades and will not be limited to the few primary ones, suggested by the app. Move your finger along the colour grade, while simultaneously sliding your second finger from right to left across the text.
