We Visited Happy Place in Toronto and Here’s our Honest Review

Posted by on Nov 26, 2018 in blog

Happy Place has touched down in Toronto, and this vibrant pop-up has been all over social media. The reviews have been a bit rough, so we visited it firsthand to see whether this insta-worthy spot is worth the hype. Right off the bat, the two biggest pieces of criticisms were the lines, and the ticket prices. Monday/Wednesday/Thursday: $32.50 incl HST Friday/Saturday/Sunday: $39.50 incl HST Tickets seem a bit pricey when comparing them to other activities like cineplex or the ROM, but considering the pop-up is only open for a limited window, and similar pop-ups such as Museum of Ice Cream costs approx $38, we think it’s worth the money. Kids under 4 are free, which is an added bonus.     So as you enter rooms, you can’t actually backtrack – so make sure you’re ready to leave before you move on. We went on a Wednesday at 3:00PM, and lines were non-existent. Around 3:30 it got a little bit busy, but there’s definitely enough content in each room to be entertained while you wait. Happy Place is set up for Instagram – there are multiple angles that you can experience (and photograph) each room in.     Our highlight was definitely the confetti dome – let us know what you think! We give Happy Place a 10/10....

What Is The Facebook Pixel & Why Is It Important?

What Is The Facebook Pixel & Why Is It Important?

First off – what is the Facebook Pixel? The Facebook Pixel is a code that you put on your website to collect all sorts of data from your visitors (based on their Facebook profile) that can help you grow your business. While it may seem scary or overwhelming to think about, let’s break down why it’s so important. Track Conversion Facebook Pixels can help you gain insight into how often people are visiting your websites, pages or even subscribing to your newsletter. Conversion Optimization Conversion optimization helps skip all of the testing and monitoring who takes desired actions and pushes your content to those who will. Custom Audiences So now you have all this data. Why not create a custom audience? The Facebook Pixel allows you to create custom audiences for customers already perusing your website, and target them based on particular actions they have taken, including viewing content, making a purchase, or even abandoning a cart. Lookalike Audiences After creating a custom audience, you now have a strong handle on your visitors and customers – but growing your audience is also part of the game. Facebook will create what is known as a “Lookalike Audience”, which takes all of the information that your pixel has collected, finds similarities between users, and use it to make a bigger and wider spread audience similar to your already existing audience. Audience Insights While the Facebook Pixel may seem like an overwhelming mix of code and marketing strategies, customer insight is always important for any business owner large or small. Learning who your customers are can help you streamline the shopping process. While the Pixel is still in its infancy, it is helping change the game on how accurately you can identify and target an audience. It’s here to stay and in this sink-or-swim social media world, it is incredibly important to adopt to your business. To learn more about Facebook Pixels and how to leverage your visitor data on Facebook, visit our website at qodesocial.com. BREAKING – You can now schedule posts on Instagram!

BREAKING – You can now schedule posts on Instagram!

It finally happened – you can now schedule posts on Instagram.   No more awkwardly excusing yourself at work to post that photo to Insta at the most engaging time.   No more frantically trying to get good enough wi-fi to post in between subway stops, because 6pm is your account’s peak engagement time.   No more paying companies extravagant sums of money to post on your behalf. It’s here.   Previously, several social media management platforms such as Hootsuite had launched a work around where you needed to download an app, and a notification would prompt you to post at the time scheduled. But not only was  super convenient, it also was super glitchy.   Facebook, Instagram’s parent company, finally announced today that they have launched full scheduling integration, meaning you can schedule in Hootsuite and your photo and caption will automatically post at the desired time (more geeky details here). At least, that’s the idea.   We tried scheduling an image in Hootsuite for Instagram, but it didn’t work as well as expected.   Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:   Connect your Business Instagram Account to Hootsuite (on desktop) Connect your Facebook page that is attached to your Business Instagram Account Download the Hootsuite app (on mobile) Enable notifications in the app Schedule your post within Hootsuite   After we tried it out, the post disappeared from the “scheduled” stream in Hootsuite at the right time, but it didn’t actually post to Instagram.   Have you tried out Hootsuite’s new feature? Did you have better luck than us? Let us know below in the...
